How many slides should a TikTok slideshow have?

TikTok lets you put up to thirty-five photos in a single post. That number is a ceiling, not a suggestion. The posts that actually get swiped through sit in a much narrower band.
Five to ten is the range
Under five slides and the post feels thin; there is not enough of a journey for a swipe to feel worth it. Over ten and completion falls off a cliff unless the post is a story with a real pull to the end. Most strong posts land at six to eight.
One idea per slide
The count matters less than the density. A slide with three points is a slide people stop reading. Cut every slide to one line if you can, one idea at most, and let the swipe do the pacing.
Let the content decide
